Ngorongoro Conservation Area

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, another UNESCO World Heritage site, features the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera. The crater’s lush floor is a haven for wildlife, including elephants, lions, rhinos, and a multitude of birds. The conservation area also encompasses the Olduvai Gorge, a significant archaeological site where early human fossils have been discovered. Visitors can explore the crater on game drives, learn about human evolution at the Olduvai Gorge Museum, and experience the rich Maasai culture in the surrounding villages.
