14-Day Uganda & Tanzania Wildlife Experience – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Untamed Wilderness Travel and transferred to your hotel. If time allows, you can explore Entebbe’s attractions such as the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, where you can spot a variety of bird species and playful monkeys. You may also take a relaxing walk along the shores of Lake Victoria or visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy a welcome dinner as you prepare for your adventure.

Day 2: Flight or Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After breakfast, you will either take a domestic flight or embark on a scenic road trip through Uganda’s beautiful landscapes to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. If driving, you will pass rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages, with a stop at the Equator for photos and refreshments. Upon arrival in Bwindi, check into your lodge nestled in the rainforest and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings. In the evening, you can relax or opt for a guided community walk to meet the Batwa pygmies and learn about their traditional forest lifestyle.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking. Led by experienced trackers, you will trek through the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek may take between two and six hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once you find them, you will spend an unforgettable hour observing their interactions, watching the young ones play, and witnessing the silverback’s commanding presence. After trekking, you will return to the lodge for relaxation. Those interested can explore the local community, visiting craft markets or enjoying traditional dance performances.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today, you will leave Bwindi and drive towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through scenic countryside and tea plantations. Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
You will start the day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, a prime wildlife-viewing area known for its large lion prides, hyenas, and herds of Uganda kob. Other sightings may include elephants, warthogs, and buffalo. After a mid-morning break, you will head to the Kazinga Channel for a boat safari. This natural waterway between Lake Edward and Lake George attracts one of Africa’s largest concentrations of hippos, along with crocodiles, elephants, and abundant bird species. Day 6: Transfer to Entebbe and Flight to Tanzania

You will be met by your Tanzanian guide and transferred to a comfortable hotel in Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. Day 7: Transfer to Tarangire National Park – Game Drive
