14 Days True Wilderness safari Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Jinja
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your safari guide, who will brief you about your journey ahead. After a short rest, you will drive to Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital, located on the shores of Lake Victoria. Depending on your arrival time, you can take a relaxing boat cruise to the Source of the Nile, where the longest river in the world begins its journey. You may also opt for sunset kayaking or quad biking along the riverbanks. After the activity, you will check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Jinja – White Water Rafting & Transfer to Sipi Falls
The next morning, after breakfast, you will embark on a thrilling white-water rafting experience on the Nile, an adventure suitable for both first-timers and experienced rafters. Other optional activities include bungee jumping, tubing, or horseback riding. After an exhilarating morning, you will have lunch before departing for Sipi Falls in eastern Uganda, a region known for its breathtaking waterfalls and scenic landscapes. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of Mount Elgon and the surrounding valleys.

Day 3: Sipi Falls Exploration – Transfer to Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve

You will also visit a coffee plantation to learn about the traditional methods of growing and processing Arabica coffee, a key economic activity in the region. After lunch, you will depart for Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve, one of Uganda’s most remote and pristine conservation areas. Upon arrival, you will check into the Uganda Wildlife Authority bandas or tented camp, followed by an evening game drive to search for unique wildlife such as cheetahs, elands, zebras, and hartebeests.

After the game drive, you will transfer to Moroto, the cultural heart of Karamoja, passing through scenic landscapes. Upon arrival, you will visit a Karimojong Manyatta (traditional homestead), where you will experience the rich culture of the pastoralist people, including traditional dances, storytelling, and learning about their nomadic lifestyle. After the visit, you will check into your lodge for the evening.

You will then drive to the northern part of the park to visit the Kanangorok Hot Springs near the South Sudan border. In the afternoon, you may choose to visit the Ik tribe, an indigenous group living on Mount Morungole. The Ik people have a fascinating culture, and this visit offers insight into their traditions and survival in a harsh environment. After a long day of exploration, you will return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 8: Game Drive & Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
The day begins with an early morning game drive in the savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park, where you will have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, and warthogs. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will take a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of the powerful Murchison Falls. During the cruise, you will see large pods of hippos, crocodiles, and a wide array of bird species. Upon reaching the falls, you will embark on a short hike to the top, where you will witness the mighty Nile River forcing its way through a narrow seven-meter gorge, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
