Detailed Day by Day 7 Days Budget Kenya Safari Itinerary

Day 01: Nairobi – Arrival

Arrive in Nairobi on the first day of your 7 Days Budget Kenya Safari, where your driver guide will meet you and welcome you to Kenya.  He/she will then transfer you to your Hotel in Nairobi where you will spend the rest of your day.

There are available optional safari activities After checking in at your hotel and Having lunch. You can embark on various safari activities within Nairobi City. You can visit the world-famous David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust or go for a walk in the Karura Forest.

Day 02: Nairobi to Sweetwaters & Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

On this second day of your Budget Kenya safari, you will visit the Sweetwaters &Ol’ Pejeta Conservancy. Have breakfast at your hotel and then embark on a drive northwards to Sweetwaters & Ol Pejeta Conservancy for your next adventure. The journey is about 4 hours and 30 minutes across the scenic countryside with charming beauty and landscapes. Arrive in the Conservancy in time for lunch. The rest of your Afternoon will be spent exploring the reserve.

The Sweetwater Game Ranch is located inside the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to rescued chimpanzees. This is the only place in Kenya that rehabilitates chimpanzees and there are upto 40 chimpanzees found in the ranch.

The Sweetwaters chimps are split into two groups separated by the Ewaso Nyiro River. You will have the opportunity to see these creatures in an environment that is nearly related to their natural habitat.

Besides Chimpanzees, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy is also dedicated to black rhino breeding making it one of the few places to see the endangered rhinoceros.

You will spend your evening at a tented camp, where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Sweetwaters to Lake Nakuru National Park

Today after breakfast, you will leave Sweetwaters and head for Lake Nakuru National Park. You will enjoy scenic countryside views during your transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park where you will arrive at lunchtime. You will check in at your lodge and have lunch and a short rest. After your short rest, you will go for an evening game drive in the park.

Lake Nakuru is renowned for its millions of pink flamingos that flock the lake shores creating a scenic array of birdlife to witness on Safaris. When you are watching from a distance, the lake appears ringed in pink.

Lake Nakuru National Park is also home to abundant wildlife that you will enjoy watching as you explore the Park. After your evening exploration, drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Hell’s Gate National Park – Kenya

Today early in the morning have breakfast and embark on a transfer to Hell’s Gate National Park. You will stop by at Lake Naivasha. From Lake Naivasha, you will proceed to the nearby Hell’s Gate National Park for both scenic landscape views and wildlife sightseeing.

This National Park has diverse and unique topography, stunning geological scenery including lower cliffs and geothermal spas. The Landscape here is unique and stunning. Your adventure here can either be on guided walking safaris or cycling safari. You will explore this park, spot several animals and bird life.

Some of the animals you will see include; African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, baboon, and over 100 bird species including vulture, Verreaux’s eagle, augur buzzards, and swifts. Hell’s Gate is also home to the Rare lammergeier vultures,  Chandler’s mountain reedbuck, and klipspringer antelope.

You will then drive to your Accommodation around Lake Naisha fro dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve

Have an early morning breakfast and relax or go for an optional boat ride (extra charges).  After, embark on a drive to Kenya’s unrivaled Masai Mara National Reserve for your next adventure.

Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch, check-in at your Camp, have lunch, and a short relaxation before youe next adventure begins. After your relaxation, go for a thrilling evening game drive in the Mara Plains, have your first experience in the Mara discovering its abundant Wildlife including the African Big Five Animals.

Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s most popular safari destination and a must-visit for all wildlife enthusiast willing to visit Africa. Masai Mara National Reserve comprises of vast unfenced wilderness that stretches over 579 mi² (1500 km²), teeming with large numbers of wildlife all year round. Among the wildlife you can see in Masai Mara are lions, leopards, buffalos, wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, giraffes, and hyenas among others.

Masai Mara National Reserve is also home to one of the seven natural wonders, the Great Wildebeest Migration (GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH). Over 1,5 million wildebeest and their entourage migrate from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park into Masai Mara National Reserve and back to Serengeti each year. Witnessing over a million animals on your safari is surely an unbeatable experience! After your adventure, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Full day Masai Mara Safari

Today explore Masai Mara National Reserve on a full day game drive Safari. Spend your day exploring the Mara plains, look out for the great wildebeest migration and the Big Five African animals (lion, leopard, Buffalo, elephants, and Rhinos). After your action packed full day game drive in Masai Mara, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer back  to Nairobi

After a leisurely breakfast at your lodge, depart for Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi in time for lunch and have lunch in one of the local restaurants in the city.

After lunch, you will be dropped off at the airport for your onward flight or at your preferred drop-off point.
