Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park and game drive
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked up by our guide driver who will brief you on how your trip will go. You will thereafter hit the road to Murchison Falls National Park via the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. At Ziwa you will encounter the endangered rhinos of the southern white species. You will embark on an hour-guided nature walk to their habitat and spot them as they feed, rest, and roam around. After that precious hour, you will head back onto the road to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival at the lodge will have lunch and prepare for an evening game drive. Day 4: Game Drive and Boat Safari on the Kazinga Channel
You will start the day with a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where predators like lions Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes, Pumbas and leopards can be spotted. Later in the afternoon, you will embark on a relaxing boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, which is home to large pods of hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for a women’s storytelling session around a bonfire.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Batwa Community Visit
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting out into the dense rain forest to track a habituated gorilla family. Once you find them, you will spend a magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. The trek can be strenuous but is one of the most rewarding wildlife encounters in the world. In the afternoon, you will visit the Batwa pygmy community to learn about their traditional way of life before returning to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 7: Flight to Nairobi, Kenya – Women’s Empowerment Tour
After breakfast, you will take a domestic flight from Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip to Entebbe, and then connect to an international flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Upon arrival, you will visit a women’s empowerment project, such as the Kazuri Beads Factory or a local cooperative that supports single mothers. In the evening, you will have dinner at a traditional Kenyan restaurant before checking into your hotel.

Day 8: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

Today, you will enjoy a full day of game drives in the vast plains of Masai Mara. Day 1 of 10 Days Uganda Birding Experience: Arrival in Entebbe – Birding at Botanical Gardens
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your birding guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, a great introduction to Uganda’s birdlife. Expect sightings of the African Fish Eagle, Ross’s Turaco, Black-and-white Casqued Hornbill, and the Palm-nut Vulture. The gardens also host various sunbirds, weavers, and kingfishers. Dinner and overnight stay in Entebbe.

Day 2: Birding at Mabamba Swamp – Transfer to Murchison Falls
Early in the morning, you will head to Mabamba Swamp, a Ramsar wetland on the shores of Lake Victoria, renowned for the elusive Shoebill Stork. You will navigate through the papyrus swamps on a traditional canoe, searching for the Shoebill along with African Jacanas, Malachite Kingfishers, Blue-breasted Bee-eaters, and Swamp Flycatchers. After birding at Mabamba, you will begin your journey northwards to Murchison Falls National Park, birdwatching along the way. Stopovers may include the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you can spot species such as the Abyssinian Ground Hornbill and the White-crested Turaco. Dinner and overnight near Murchison Falls.
After an early breakfast, embark on a morning birding safari in the savannah grasslands of Murchison Falls. The park hosts over 450 bird species, including the Secretary Bird, Denham’s Bustard, Red-throated Bee-eater, Northern Carmine Bee-eater, Black-headed Lapwing, and Speckle-fronted Weaver. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the falls, offering sightings of water-associated species such as the African Skimmer, Goliath Heron, Shoebill, and Pied Kingfisher. Hike to the top of the falls for breathtaking views and more birding opportunities. Dinner and overnight in Murchison Falls.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest – Enroute Birding
After breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest National Park, a journey through scenic landscapes with birding enroute. Stopovers along the way may reward you with sightings of the Black-billed Turaco, Yellow-billed Barbet, and Grey-headed Kingfisher. Arrive in Kibale in the evening, check in to your lodge, and enjoy some birding around the lodge premises, which may offer glimpses of the Snowy-crowned Robin-chat and the Western Nicator. Day 5: Birding in Kibale Forest and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
Kibale Forest is home to over 375 bird species, making it one of the best birding destinations in Uganda. Early morning birding will focus on spotting the elusive Green-breasted Pitta, African Pitta, Red-chested Owlet, and White-napped Pigeon. In the mid morning, we embark on our chimpanzee trekking experience. In the afternoon, explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run birding haven known for the Great Blue Turaco, Papyrus Gonolek, White-spotted Flufftail, and the Joyful Greenbul. Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Birding Along the Way
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, birdwatching along the way. Expect to see species like the African Grey Woodpecker, African Finfoot, and the African Emerald Cuckoo. Upon arrival, embark on an evening birding session in the park’s open savannah, with chances of spotting Grey-crowned Cranes, White-tailed Larks. Dinner and overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 7: Birding in Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
Start the day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, one of the best birding spots in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Look out for the Black-bellied Bustard, African Wattled Lapwing, Martial Eagle, and the African Crake. In the afternoon, take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, where you will see large congregations of waterbirds, including the African Spoonbill, African Open-billed Stork, Great White Pelican, and the Grey-headed Gull. Day 8: Birding in Ishasha Sector – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, proceed to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and excellent birding opportunities. This area is home to species such as the White-headed Barbet, Spot-flanked Barbet, and Black Coucal. After birding in Ishasha, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to 23 Albertine Rift endemics. Evening birding around the lodge may offer sightings of the Bar-tailed Trogon and Red-throated Alethe. Dinner and overnight in Bwindi.
Day 9: Birding in Bwindi’s Ruhija Sector – Albertine Rift Endemics
Ruhija, one of the best birding sites in Bwindi, is home to many Albertine Rift endemics. Early morning birding in this montane forest provides chances of spotting the African Green Broadbill, Handsome Francolin, Archer’s Robin-Chat, Rwenzori Nightjar, and the Stripe-breasted Tit. The Mubwindi Swamp trail is a key highlight, offering sightings of the Grauer’s Rush Warbler and the Dusky Crimsonwing. Dinner and overnight in Bwindi.
After breakfast, enjoy one last birding session around Bwindi before starting the journey back to Entebbe. Birding stops along the way may include forest edges and wetland areas, with chances to spot the Black Bee-eater, Mackinnon’s Shrike, and the Dusky Twin spot or You have an option of Gorilla tracking in the morning before setting back to Entebbe. Arrive in Entebbe in the evening for your departure flight, marking the end of your 10-day Uganda Birding Experience.

Day 1: 4 Days Murchison Falls National Park: Arrival in Entebbe
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be met and greeted by our tour guide, then transferred to your hotel. Have a short briefing of your program with your guide, Relax and prepare for your upcoming adventure.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls via Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Waking up for an amazing early morning breakfast getting ready to transfer from Entebbe to Murchison falls via Zziwa rhino sanctuary. We will have a stop at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary to see the white rhinos in their natural habitat (rhino tracking experience). We shall have lunch on our way and embark on our journey to Murchison falls national park. We shall visit the MIGHTY FALLS OF MURCHISON and Continue to check into your lodge.
Day 3: Full day Game tracking and boat cruise on the Nile
Early morning sunrise with wild, waking up to a beautified game tacking of the mother nature, having breakfast in the bush with the wild, encountering of the big 4 (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes), different antelopes among others. Spending the day exploring Murchison Falls National Park. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Nile River to spot on the wildlife that resides along the nile like the crocodile, animals that visit the waters during hot weather to the bottom of Murchison Falls and marvel at the powerful waterfall.
Day 4: Budongo Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer Back to Entebbe
Start your day with a drive to Budongo Eco Forest, one of Uganda’s most beautiful tropical forests and home to a large population of chimpanzees. Enjoy a memorable chimpanzee tracking experience, walking under the towering mahogany trees as you search for these playful primates in their natural habitat.
After the trek, proceed with your journey back to Entebbe, arriving in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight or continue with your onward travel arrangements in Uganda.

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport or from your hotel in Kigali, you will be met by the company safari guide who will brief you on the journey ahead. Afterward, you will begin your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours, passing through Rwanda’s scenic countryside with its rolling hills, lush green landscapes, and vibrant rural communities. You will cross the border into Uganda, have lunch in one of the vibrant restaurant in Kabale town and then continue our journey to the southern part of Bwindi. Upon arrival at your lodge near the park, you will check in and enjoy late afternoon refreshment, depending on your arrival time. The rest of the evening will be at leisure, allowing you to relax. In the evening, you will have dinner at the lodge and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking experience. Overnight stay at your lodge in Bwindi.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi and Return to Kigali
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Uganda
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. The briefing will include guidelines on how to conduct during the trek and what to expect. You will then embark on your gorilla trekking adventure, accompanied by experienced ranger guides. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family you are assigned to. As you navigate through dense forest, steep slopes, and thick vegetation, you will experience the beauty of Bwindi’s rich biodiversity. Once you find the gorillas, you will have one hour to observe them up close. During this time, you can watch their behavior, interactions, and playful activities while taking photographs. After the trek, you will return to the park headquarters to receive your gorilla tracking certificate. You will then have lunch and begin your journey back to Kigali. The drive will follow the same scenic route, with opportunities to stop for photos and rest as needed. Upon arrival in Kigali, your guide will drop you off at the airport for your departure flight or at your hotel if you are staying overnight.
