The dry season is the best time to explore both Rwanda and Uganda with Untamed Wilderness Travel. Because Rwanda and Uganda experience an equatorial climate, they experience a bimodal dry season. This runs from June to September and from December to February. The dry season has the advantage of creating dry trails and tracks or roads, to make navigation easier. The warm weather conditions ensure comfort while on tour. The dry season also cause less dense vegetation cover in the tour destinations, thus enhancing visibility. Additionally, in the dry season visibility is ensured due to limited water sources that forces the wild animals to congregate around few water sources in the safari destinations.
But do not hesitate to explore Uganda and Rwanda on any day of the year, because the safari destinations are open daily. The wet season brings heavy rains that make park trails and tracks or roads difficult to traverse because they are muddy and slippery. The vegetation also becomes denser and affects the visibility. However, this wet season also causes numerous bird species to come and thrive in the safari destinations. These are ideal conditions for daring travelers, who prefer challenging adventures. The wet season also has the advantage of coinciding with the low season. This is an ideal time for visitors who prefer tranquil tour experiences.
